Job Highlights                                 

The Supervisor, IT Assets Management reports to the Assistant Manager, Asset Management.

Job Summary

The jobholder shall be responsible for ensuring configuration, distribution, maintenance and repairs of desktop equipment and accessories and capturing asset data in the asset management tool.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Resolve assigned work orders within set timelines.
  • Configure and deploy end user equipment.
  • Perform Software and hardware upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and repair network problems / Incidents.
  • Identify, collect and record obsolete equipment on assigned floors and recommend for disposal / replacement.
  • Facilitate movement of end user equipment during relocation.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance of end user equipment.
  • Collect and record information for the Asset register.

 

Person specifications

For appointment to this job, the candidate must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Membership to a relevant professional body.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role.
  • Certification in any of the following: CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, MCSE

Job Summary

The jobholder shall be responsible for resolving incidents as 2nd line Service Support in line with Service Level Agreement

Duties and responsibilities

  • Resolve service requests and incidents within defined Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve both hardware and software faults.
  • Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain end user equipment and accessories.
  • Setup and supports audio /visual equipment for presentations and other meetings.
  • Establish good working relationship with customers by keeping them updated on the progress made concerning their requests and in case of any escalations.

Job Summary

The jobholder shall be responsible for ensuring implementation of day-to-day operations of the LAN infrastructure and IP telephony services and its associated hardware in support to users.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day corrective maintenance for LAN & IPT and its associated hardware in support to users.
  • Manage activation of data points for both Voice and Data.
  • Implement required service improvement programs to facilitate efficient LAN & IPT service delivery.
  • Analyze all the required technical expertise for LAN & IPT and its associated hardware.
  • Monitor availability, response times, security and repair times for LAN & IPT services in liaison with Service Monitoring and Service Management.
  • Manage configuration of switches, network ports and any other duties allocated to support staff in LAN & IPT ensuring adherence to set internal standards.

Job Summary

The jobholder shall be responsible for analyzing capacity and performance issues to determine ways to improve capacity and performance at acceptable cost effective levels and perform trend analysis from capacity management information system and formulating the capacity plan.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain and examine logs, journals and system state histories.
  • Size all proposed new systems to determine computer and network resources required taking into account hardware utilization, performance service targets and cost implications.
  • Report on performance against service targets contained in Service Level Agreements.
  • Model impacts of changes in business volumes and new technologies to predict needed capacity.
  • Translate business events and drivers into IT workloads and volumes.
  • Determine performance targets and service levels that are achievable and cost justified.
  • Conduct ad-hoc performance and capacity and performance studies on request.
  • Analyze and review actual Capacity levels achieved against SLAs and OLAs and UCs.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development of plans and workflows that satisfy current and future requirements.
  • Execute infrastructure solutions and technical requirements including preparation of work plans for LAN, WAN, Power backup, PCs and accessories and
  • Compile proof-of-concept results, including guidance and recommendations for trends.
  • Coordinate procurement of requisite infrastructure solutions and service equipment by preparing tender document and
  • Identify technological solutions required including the formulation of terms of reference and
  • Monitor ICT Infrastructure performance and recommends improvements to ensure high system level
