Kenya Revenue Authority wishes to notify stakeholders in the Petroleum Industry that monitoring of white petroleum products under customs control will strictly be done through the Regional Electronic Cargo Tracking System - RECTS.
The installation exercise commenced in July 2020. Sites for installation of Efuels gadgets onto petroleum tankers have been established in Nairohi,Eldoret and Kisumu.
To book trucks for installation at the above locations, transporters who are yet to be registered on efuels platform will be required to download the efuels truck registration details (excel file) from https://kra.go.ke/en/downloads. Thereafter, fill in details of their trucks and a contact person who will be created as an administrator in the efuels system. The filled in form should be sent by mail to efuels@kra.go.ke.
Please note trucks that will not have been installed or booked for installation by November 1 st 2020 will not be allowed to load and transport petroleum products under customs control from any loading point countrywide.
