Job summary:
This role will be responsible for Data Protection and Privacy, primarily providing both roadmap strategy and execution, working in collaboration with key business partners. The position also has a responsibility for monitoring system user access rights creation and termination as well as maintenance of Data assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and periodically review Data protection ,privacy & user access rights policy , controls and procedures
- Identify current and potential legal and regulatory issues affecting Data protection assess their impact on the organization.
- Ensure adherence to corporate , national and global laws, rules and regulations on Data protection ,privacy
- Establish reporting and communication channels that support Data protection Governance .
- Design, configure and support Data steward user interfaces.
- Manage Users, Passwords, and Group Membership
- Classify Information Confidentiality
- Implement Reference and Master Data Management Solutions
- Identify 3rd party Data Sources Contributors
- Follow applicable security and change management processes
Academic and Professional qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, or related field
- Certification in Data Security / Protection/Privacy
Relevant work experience required
- Five (5) years’ progressive work experience with relational databases
- Certification in Data Security / Protection/Privacy
- Knowledge of Data protection solutions/ network
- Experience with Data quality and profiling
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Data profiling tools and utilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with Revenue collection practices and policies.
Other requirements
- Ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and staff
- Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate and create consensus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to quickly synthesize Data and develop recommendations.
- Demonstrable behavioural analytical experience
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal including effective presentation
- Leadership qualities which include team work, good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proactive, self-motivated and adaptable to team environments
- Meticulous and with attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
