Job Highlights
The ICT System Administrator and Support Officer reports to Operations Manager KRA Staff Pension Scheme.
Job Summary
The jobholder will be responsible for managing, supporting, and maintaining the Scheme’s ICT systems, networks, and technology infrastructure to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable operations, while providing user support and technical assistance to staff and stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day ICT support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Set up, configure, and maintain computers, user accounts, printers, and other ICT equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the Scheme’s ICT systems, networks, databases, and website to ensure reliability and security.
- Support implementation of information security, data protection, backup, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Conduct routine system maintenance, updates, and repairs in liaison with service providers where necessary.
- Provide support in management of the Scheme’s website and social media platforms, including content updates and basic digital support services.
- Assist in generating ICT reports and tracking system performance and user support requests.
- Support user access management and ensure compliance with approved ICT security procedures.
- Maintain proper ICT documentation, inventory records, and asset registers.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers on ICT support, maintenance, and system improvements.
- Support business continuity and operational efficiency through effective ICT service delivery.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this job, the candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of Four (4) years’ experience in ICT support, systems administration, or a related role.
- Possession of any two relevant ICT certifications from the list provided below will be considered an added advantage:
CompTIA A+, N+, CCNA, MCSE, MCSA, ITIL, Google IT support, Project Management, UI/UX Design, any cloud certification, AI and Machine learning
- Experience in website management, social media support, and user support services will be an added advantage.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft systems, email, networking, data backup, and basic web technologies including HTML.
- Strong ICT troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of systems administration, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Good planning, organization, and attention to detail.
- Creativity and innovation in digital support and communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic website management, cloud and social media administration skills.
- Basic email and Active Directory management
- Basic coding knowledge, including HTML and related web technologies.
