Invitation to a Stakeholder Engagement on the Rollout of Excise Stamps for Cosmetics and Beauty Products

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) would like to notify taxpayers and the public of its intention to rollout excise stamps for cosmetics and beauty products from 1st July 2023, in compliance with the provisions of the Excise Duty Act, 2015 and the Excise Duty (Excisable Goods Management System) Regulations, 2017.

To ensure a smooth rollout, KRA invites manufactures, importers and other stakeholders involved in the distribution and supply of cosmetics and beauty products for a virtual stakeholder engagement on 3rd May 2023 at 9:00am. Manufacturers of cosmetics and beauty products who have installed automated production lines are requested to contact KRA through the email- egmshelp@kra.go.ke to facilitate  a technical site visit for confirmation that their automated lines meet the requirements for installation of Excisable Goods Management System (EGMS) equipment.
