The Supervisor, Service Support, Southern Region (Customs House & Outstation) reports to Assistant Manager, Service Support (Customs House & Outstation).
Job Summary
The jobholder shall be responsible for resolving incidents as 2nd line Service Support in line with Service Level Agreement
Duties and responsibilities
- Resolve service requests and incidents within defined Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve both hardware and software faults.
- Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain end user equipment and accessories.
- Setup and supports audio /visual equipment for presentations and other meetings.
- Establish good working relationship with customers by keeping them updated on the progress made concerning their requests and in case of any escalations.
- Install & configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Maintain and monitor computer networks and systems.
- Login the queries of end users in the incident management tool.
- Capture resolution details into the knowledge base system.
- Test and evaluate new technology.
Person specifications
For appointment to this job, the candidate must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology, Computer Forensics, Intelligence management or relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, MCSE.
- Membership to a relevant professional body.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role.
Demonstrate Technical proficiency in the following knowledge areas:-
- Microsoft Windows, MaCOS and application software.
- Help Desk Support, Ticketing Systems, Incident management and VPN Client.
- Computer hardware and software maintenance.
- Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Centralized services for printing, document sharing and controls.
- Configuration, Implementation and administration of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- LAN troubleshooting and support.
