Job Summary
The jobholder shall be responsible for overseeing development and Management of the Authority’s Enterprise architecture, supporting transition of Kenya Revenue Authority’s (KRA) Core Business capabilities to the desired future capabilities in order for the Authority to realize its mandate. The person shall ensure alignment of business objectives with ICT and coordinated change management across the Authority.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in cascading and implementation of the Divisional vision and Enterprise Architecture Framework (Architecture Principles, Methodology, & Procedures) and Programmes.
- Develop and maintain KRA’s Current and envisioned target Enterprise Architecture Blueprints (Business Applications, Data, & Technology), business intelligence, data science and artificial intelligence to enhance business outcomes and transform the Authority into a data intelligent Tax Administration.
- Develop technological strategies and road maps, technological investment plans and Prepare Transformation Budgets and Management
- Conduct research on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) solutions in the market for particular technical requirements and business needs and draw insights and recommendations.
- Supervise and review business project proposals to ensure benefits outweigh costs and provide advisory opinions projects viability.
- Provide guidance and expertise in development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing staff to ensure efficiency, accountability, and continuous performance improvement for the business enterprise architecture team.
- Share with Management and Project Teams, best practices and lessons learned in technology implementation.
- Collaborate with key stakeholder and Identify key Project implementation risks, analyzing potential impacts on the enterprise and on achievement of anticipated objectives.
- Ensure conformity to ISO (9001/2025 and 27001/2013) and data security requirements.
Person specifications
For appointment to this job, the candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or any other IT related field.
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or any other relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Cumulative service period of seven (7) years, three (3) of which should be at middle level management.
- Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution, will be an added advantage.
- Membership to a professional body (ISACA or CSK) or any other recognized institution, with a valid practicing certificate.
Any of the following technical certification
- TOGAF
- IIBA
- COBIT
- CISA
- ITIL
- PRINCE 2 or PMP
