Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) wishes to notify all stakeholders that with effect from 25th March 2021, KRA rolled out a Trading Across Borders Facilitative program which now eliminates the processes carried out by Verification Officer (VO) and Head Verification Officer (HVO) for direct tea exports similar to the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program.
This framework is accorded to direct tea exports declared under customs regime EX1 in the Integrated Customs Management Systems (iCMS) and NOT any other regime.
