To support the Government’s initiatives aimed at managing the spread of COVID-19 in the country and to safeguard the wellbeing of both Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) staff and customers, taxpayers are requested to minimize physical visits to KRA offices.
Taxpayers are consequently encouraged to visit KRA online platforms to file and pay their taxes and access various tax services. Additionally, for income tax returns for the year 2020, nil return filers may use KRA’s Mservice App to file their returns.
KRA offices shall remain open till 4:00pm in the counties of Nairobi, Machakos, Kiambu, Kajiado and Nakuru. All other offices countrywide shall continue to operate in the normal working hours i.e. 8:00 am – 5:00pm. In instances where a tax issue may require mandatory visit to KRA offices, taxpayers are requested to adhere to the floor management measures in place. Taxpayers visiting KRA offices must; wear their masks at all times, use hand sanitisers provided or wash their hands at designated areas, and maintain social distance.
