Kenya Revenue Authority on 13th January 2009 held a seminar for new taxpayers registered in the month of December 2008. The seminar was aimed at helping taxpayers understand operations of the taxes as well as their rights and obligations as taxpayers. Among the topics covered included Value Added Tax (including rent VAT), Turn over Tax, Income Tax among others. The authority will continue to hold similar foras on monthly basis.
