Kenya Revenue Authority has registered its participation for the upcoming Race for Peace organised by Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) in conjunction with Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation and International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE).  The event dubbed Great Turkwel Race and Cultural Beauty show will be held on 25th September 2010 at Turkwel Gorge in North – Western Kenya. This year’s 10 km race combined with beauty show will transform from a social to a fundraising event open to both individuals and the corporate world. The race is aimed at raising peace awareness towards improving living conditions of the local community. Recently, KRA sponsored the event organization to the tune of Kshs. 500,000. 

The first Turkwel Peace Race & Beauty Show took place in September 2006, and provided an exciting and rewarding opportunity for participants to enjoy the cultural diversity of the scenic north-western Kenya, while making a difference in the lives of the local communities
