PUBLIC NOTICE

ALL SHIPPERS, SHIPPING AGENTS & AIR OPERATERS

Please note that in accordance to the provisions of Section 24 of the E.A.C Customs Management Act 2004, with effect from 1 st October 2004 , all shippers, shipping agents and air operators who are currently not lodging manifests with the Customs Department electronically, are required to do so.

Also note and be advised that shippers, shipping agents and air operators who fail to lodge their manifests electronically will halt importers or clearing agents operations as they will not be able to process their entry declarations through the Customs Systems (SIMBA 2005), after the set deadline.

Failure to comply may lead to non-discharge of cargo within Kenyan Ports.
