Kenya Revenue Authority wishes to notify the public that, pursuant to the Traffic Act Cap 403 Section 23 (1) Laws of Kenya, it is unlawful to engage in the buying and selling of second hand motor vehicles without a valid license issued by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.
The public is further notified that according to Cap 484Section 5(2) (b) of the Second HandMotor Vehicle Purchase Act, it is mandatory for any motor vehicle dealer to inform the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles within 7 days of the resale of a motor vehicle and to include the name and address of the purchaser.
Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in the Commissioner cancelling the registration.
