Pursuant to Legal Notice No. 110 of 8th October, 2004, the Kenya Revenue Authority reminds VAT registered taxpayers (other than parties covered by valid court restraining orders) about the requirement to install Electronic Tax Registers (ETRs) of the approved specifications.

Taxpayers should take advantage of the existing window permitting the deduction of the cost of the ETR as part of their input VAT. The deduction facility is however available for a limited period only.
