Kenya Revenue Authority  would like to inform concerned persons that Customs Agents Licences will expire on 31st December, 2006.   Those who wish to apply for Licences both fresh and renewals are advised to submit their applications forms by
30th September 2006.

Application forms may be obtained from 9th Floor Times Tower, Nairobi or Customs House, Mombasa on payment of Kshs.200 in respect of applications for new licences or Kshs.50.00 in respect of renewal of an existing Licence.  All applicants must be recommended by KIFWA which is the only Clearing and Forwarding Association recognized by the Kenya Revenue Authority.

Applications received after 30th September, 2006 will be accepted for consideration upon payment of a non-refundable late application fee of Kshs.20,000.00.  Applicants who wish to renew their licences must settle all outstanding queries or cancel all outstanding bonds executed for use in the Boffin System and must be registered users of the Simba 2005 System.

All licensing conditions according to the 8th Schedule of the Principal Regulations to the Customs& Excise Act Cap 472 must be fulfilled for the application to be accepted
