Pursuant to the Public Notice revoking the appointment of certain Withholding VAT agents, Kenya Revenue Authority wishes to notify the public of institutions that qualify to act as Withholding VAT agents.

The categories retained as agents are as follows:

• Government Ministries and Departments;
• State Corporations and Local Authorities;
• Banks and Insurance Companies.

A full listing of the institutions qualified to Withhold VAT is available here and at KRA offices countrywide. Taxpayers may in the meantime confirm eligibility or any other issue directly with us using the details provided below:
